			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>  Paramedic work involves being the first responder in case of a medical emergency. Paramedic EMT’s are crucial in the expedient treatment of emergent patients. A Paramedic work under the Medical Directors License, (An Emergency Room Doctor). The medical director has protocols set out that the Paramedic implements upon assessment of a patient.  Paramedic work is used in order to stabilize and treat the patient on the way to the hospital. Paramedics are capable of performing many different, and somewhat invasive procedures, due to the severity and dire need of the patients they respond to. A Paramedic work includes:</p>

•Management of a patients safety<br />
• Consistently assessing Vital Signs such as Respiratory Rate, Pulse Rate, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar Levels, Oxygen Saturation, and Level of Consciousness.<br />
• Managing a patients airway, delivering oxygen via many different tools, Establishing Advanced Airways such as Intubation and Combi-Tube placement.<br />
• Treating and recognizing cardiac arrhythmias, such as Ventricular Fibrillation and Ventricular Tachycardia. Paramedics are able to administer electrical stimulus with Defibrillation, Cardioversion, and Pacing, to treat cardiac problems.<br />
•	Use of pharmaceutical interventions to treat any emergent situation.<br />
•	Establishing Intravenous or Intra Osseous access.<br />
• Managing A patients Vital signs is by far one of the most crucial jobs of the Paramedic, managing these vital signs allows the Paramedic to stabilize and transport his patient safely.<br />
• Transporting and moving patients from one location to a different facility. A Paramedic is expected to have a understanding of Highways, roads, and streets, in order to quickly and safely transport their patients.<br />
• Keeping up to date with current standards of care, Paramedics are required to have a in depth understanding of Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and PHTLS Trauma certifications.</p>
<p>The work of a Paramedic is not for the faint of heart. Often times accident scenes, crime scenes, and extremely chaotic situations are entered by the Paramedic. The Paramedics work requires them to enter the fray and medically take control of the situation in order to treat his or her patients appropriately. For this reason the Job does have its dangers. Paramedics are subject to physical violence, environmental dangers, and different bodily fluid viruses and bacterium almost daily. The job is however incredibly rewarding for anyone who can succeed in such circumstances.</p>
